Doerun is a small city located in Colquitt County in the state of Georgia, United States. It is situated in the southwestern part of the state, about 9 miles northwest of the county seat of Moultrie. Doerun has a total area of 1.9 square miles and a population of approximately 780 people as of the 2010 United States Census. The city is served by the Doerun Municipal Airport and the Colquitt County School District. Agriculture is the main economic activity in the area, with Doerun being known for its peanut production. There are also several parks and recreational areas in and around Doerun, including the Doerun City Park and the Reed Bingham State Park.
